Preaching the 1st century gospel in the 21st Century
The issues people struggle with haven't changed. We still are plagued by guilt, anger, loneliness, hatred and so on. The Bible calls this sin. And the only answer to the problems of our hearts is Jesus. That's why we preach Jesus.
Dubai Church of Christ is a diverse congregation with people of all ages, different religious experiences and race; everyone is welcome. We are a congregation of Christian people seeking to follow the pattern of New Testament Christianity. We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God and we try to follow it alone. We are a family, not just a gathering of individuals. You will find us to be real people trying to live as Christ in a difficult and challenging world. We are close knit and find comfort in each other's We know each other, enjoy time together, and care for each other's well being.
We believe in Jesus Christ as the Savior of the world because God teaches us this through the Bible. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16). In God's love for mankind, he gave us the very best.
If you need a family, friend...or a safe, warm place to worship God, then we offer that to you. Please come by for services, hang around after it is over, and share the Lord's love with us
We believe Christ established his church as one body and desires it to remain one (Matt16:18).
We believe baptism is a burial in water for the remission of sins and is essential to membership in Christ's church and therefore essential to salvation (Mark 16:16).
We believe in making disciples of all nations by preaching the gospel, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit for the remissions of sins and teaching them to obey everything Christ has commanded (Matt. 28:19).
Mission Statement of Dubai Church of Christ
Now a days corporations, businesses, even churches have mission statements. That's great. It gives people an idea of the mindset or the focus of the group. As a church, Jesus is central to all that we must do and be. He has given His mission statement for His followers. Matthew records it for us,
"All authority has been given to me in heaven and on the earth, Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you, and lo I am with you always, even to the end of the age." (Mt. 28:18-20).
Simply stated, our mission is to teach people the Gospel, and keep them faithful by teaching until Jesus comes. Paul says it this way in Colossians 1:28. So, the Dubai Church of Christ mission as Christians is to be "ambassadors" on behalf of God. (2 Corinth. 5:20)
And we at Dubai Church of Christ “Guided by the Spirit and God’s holy word in the Bible, to glorify God and engage the world for Jesus Christ by speaking truth in love, doing good works, loving one another, and equipping every member for service.”
Our Core Values
We desire to be like the church that God desires.
We pray to be the body of Christ with the Lord Jesus as our head.
We accept the Bible as our final authority in spiritual and moral matters.
We desire to worship God in spirit and in truth.
We desire to be a spiritual family that both rejoices and weeps together.
We seek to help widows and orphans, the sick and grieving, the poor and downtrodden, the lonely and the disenfranchised.
We desire to equip and empower all members for ministry according to their God-given talents to the end that the church will attain “to the fullness of Christ.”
"So naturally, we proclaim Christ! We warn everyone we meet, and we teach everyone we can, all that we know about Him, so that, if possible, we may bring every man up to his full maturity in Christ Jesus."
Go teach the Gospel, and teach the obedient; to obey all that Jesus said until He comes.
We pray the Lord will bless the work here that we may add many more souls to Christ and much more good news to this page.
“Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free” (John: 8:32)
